Another post already? Well today was glorious and sunny, so I went on a picnic. I stopped off at the shop, bought some bread, cheese, a small sausage, a cucumber and a tomato. I walked through the forest to the river, taking in the singing birds, earthen-scented breeze, scurrying small animals, and the sunshine dropping through the branches. It was so much like being back in Washington it was a little dizzying.
I found a calm, soft, grassy spot near some fallen logs and settled in. I had some lunch, took some photos, and did some writing. I was planning on reading, but I was getting antsy (figuratively and literally), so I got up and wandered.
Throughout my venture I was eyed by goats, turkeys, geese, dogs, a sheep, and a few curious ants.
I came home after a few hours, and the cat and I polished off the rest of the sausage. Here are some photos for The Happiness Collection:
